The wAP ax adds wireless coverage where your team works, from the dining room and bar to an outdoor service area, as part of a planned GoTab Managed Networking installation.

Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 serves compatible devices on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, with two Gigabit Ethernet ports for wired connectivity. Its IP54-rated housing is suited to indoor or outdoor placement, and PoE-in lets the installation team carry power and data over the same Ethernet cable.

Pair it with the managed router to extend the venue’s POS and guest networks. GoTab configures, monitors and supports the managed network; access-point placement and quantity depend on the space. This is a Wi-Fi access point, not a cellular backup gateway.

Highlights

Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 supports compatible handhelds and other wireless devices on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.

2×2 MIMO on both bands provides two radio chains per band.

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports provide wired connectivity alongside Wi-Fi.

802.3af/at PoE-in on Ether1 carries power and data over one Ethernet cable.

12–57 V DC input provides an alternative to PoE power.

IP54-rated housing supports weather-resistant indoor or outdoor installation.

Wall, ceiling, pole or desktop placement gives the installation team mounting options.

RouterOS v7 and CAPsMAN support centralized configuration of multiple access points.

Specifications

Model

wAP ax

Manufacturer model family

wAPG-5HaxD2HaxD

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz

Radio configuration

2×2 MIMO on both bands

Ethernet

2 × 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45

Power input

Ether1: 802.3af/at PoE-in, 18–57 V; DC jack, 12–57 V

Maximum power consumption

9 W

OS and management

RouterOS v7; CAPsMAN support

Protection

IP54; indoor/outdoor

Network requirement

GoTab managed network
